Our Story

Some people hear it.
Most don't.

I've heard it for most of my life.

It's the quiet voice that tells you there's something else out there. Another road. Another experience. Another version of yourself you haven't met yet.

I've always been someone who went looking for adventure—even when there didn't seem to be any to find.

For ten years, that meant playing music professionally, signing to a record label, traveling, and chasing something that made very little sense on paper. It wasn't always comfortable. It wasn't always easy. But it gave me stories, experiences, failures, friendships, and a life I never would have found by staying where I was supposed to.

As I've gotten older, adventure has changed.

Sometimes it's somewhere on the other side of the world. Sometimes it's a trail, a coastline, a heavy barbell, a new idea, or simply choosing the harder path when the easier one is right there.

But the reason I keep chasing it hasn't changed.

I don't want to be a spectator in my own life.

That's why I created Uncommon Standard.

Not because the world needed another clothing company, but because I wanted to build something around the way I've always tried to live: stay curious, seek discomfort, take the long way, and hold yourself to a standard that doesn't change just because nobody is watching.

Uncommon Standard is an homage to that pursuit.

Every collection pulls from some part of it—the mountains, the water, the road, the gym, the places we've been and the places we haven't found yet.

Because I believe the greatest adventures aren't measured by how many miles you travel.

They're measured by who you become because you were willing to go.

You don't need permission to live an interesting life.
You don't need to wait until the timing makes sense.
And you don't need to follow the path everyone else decided was enough.

Go find something worth chasing.

Wherever you go, stay uncommon.
